Wrinkles form on our face through a life time of expressions- talking, laughing, frowning. The older we are, the more years we have moved and creased our faces which cause folds and wrinkles in the skin.
As we age, we lose elasticity in the skin and it can no longer bounce back to the smooth appearance of a natural rested face and hence the wrinkles begin to stay on our face, even at rest.
Using injections into the muscles will help relax them and therefore reduce your ability to crease and move the face in order to create these wrinkles. The less we crease and fold our face, the less prominent these wrinkles will appear and hence keep our faces looking more fresh, youthful and radiant.
The most popular areas to treat with anti-wrinkle injections include the upper face- frown lines, forehead lines and crow’s feet. It is one of the most affordable, quick and safe non- surgical, anti-ageing treatments available.
The ideal time to consider treatment is different for everyone and varies due to a multitude of factors including genetics, smoking, alcohol, sun exposure, stress etc.
The best time to start this treatment is when you begin to notice lines or wrinkles on your face at rest. Deep inset wrinkles are difficult to remove and so we recommend starting this treatment before they become too deep.

What are anti-wrinkle injections - Botulinium Toxin type A
Your muscles move and contract due to a release of a chemical messenger, acetylcholine, which gives your muscle the instructions to move.
Botulinium Toxin type A (anti-wrinkle injections) temporarily blocks the release of this chemical messenger and hence the muscle is not given that signal to move and therefore remains relaxed.
Your body then rebuilds these messengers over time and hence the treatment wears off and you are able to return to the natural movement of your face.
