Hyaluronidase is a product which can dissolve and remove hyaluronic acid and dermal filers.
It can be used to remove any lumps in the lip caused by filler, and correct any unevenness or asymmetry. Futhermore it can also remove all the filler in your lip to give you your natural lip shape back again prior to having any procedures*.
Using hyaluronidase for corrective purposes is an advanced procedure and requires a patch test prior to having your lips dissolved to ensure safety.
Hyaluronidase starts to work immediately and continues to work over 24hours. When the filler is dissolved and removed, this is permanent and will not come back unless you have more lip filler added. Your lips should be back to their natural shape by the next day*.
Lip Corrections FAQ’S
What does the treatment involve?
A patch test is required for this treatment, which involves a small needle test into the forearm to ensure no allergies- this procedure takes under 5 seconds.
The patch test can be done on the same day, 30minutes prior to your treatment or you can pop in for a patch test that morning or another suitable day prior to your dissolve.
Dr Bonny will provide a full consultation in order to assess the lip and whether you are an appropriate candidate for it. Once this is established, the full procedure takes 15minutes in order to remove any makeup, serums or skincare, clean the skin and perform the injections.
Small needles are used into the skin and lip to inject the treatment into the correct place. Length of time to perform the injections may vary per person. The average injection time is approximately 5-8minutes with minimal pain.
Results from the procedure can be seen anywhere between 1hour-24hours after the treatment. Full effects will be seen within 24hours.
