What is DESO Fat Dissolving?

The injections contain deoxycholic acid; an enzyme produced by the body naturally.

When injected locally into the fatty tissue, it dissolves the outer membrane of the fat cells, causing them to break down and is then safely and naturally excreted from the body over 3 – 6 weeks.

At our clinic, we are able to target the fat under the chin, also known as the “double chin” to reduce the appearance and size of the area.

Although results can be seen from one treatment, a course of at least 4 treatments is typically required.

What to do before my treatment?

Before your treatment, please ensure

You have completed a “new patient form” linked at the top of our website.
You arrive 5minutes early
You avoid alcohol for 24hours before
Avoid extreme exercise for 24hours before
Ensure you’ve not been treated with a filler, lazer, chemical peel or skin booster for 4 weeks prior

How will I look after my treatment?

Some can experience swelling and possibly some bruising in the area, however others experience none. Some swelling and bruising can last up to 4 weeks. Others can experience tingling, numbness, itchiness of the area. Our medical team will be able to discuss this all in depth with you on the day on your treatment.

What can I do/not do after my treatment?

We recommend you massage the area daily
No sunbeds or saunas for 24hours
Avoid sun exposure for 14days.
No makeup, creams, fragranced cleansers for 24hours, including
No strenuous exercise for 48hours.
No Alcohol for 48hours.
Arnica cream or tablets are great to soothe any bruises.

When should I see results?

Results from this treatment are permanent, unless you put weight on.

Results can take 4-6 weeks to show effect.

How often should I get this done?

Most people need 2-4 sessions before results are significant. Our medical team will be able to tell you how long your specific treatment will last depending on the area and product used.

What is the aftercare?
